On April 18, 1775, Paul Revere and William Dawes (later joined by Dr. Samuel Prescott)
alerted the countryside that British troops were prepared to move the next morning. Without this
warning, the Patriots would have been caught off guard for the Battles of Lexington and Concord.
The American Revolution, a project site from Mr. Welch's 7th grade classes in the Greece
Central School District, New York, illustrates students' use of the Internet as both a
resource tool for gathering information and as a publishing medium for sharing knowledge. For this
project, students researched events, prepared reports, and then published them on their school's
Web site. What a cool way to share research and results!
Rating: A fine display of technology integration within the social studies curriculum.
