The Library of Virginia: Digital Library Program is a repository of more than 2.2
million original photographs, maps, and documents. The program features more than 80 searchable
databases, electronic finding aids, and indexes.
As an effort to preserve and provide access to significant information, the Library's digital
collections include early Virginia materials such as court records, birth, death, and marriage
records, photograph collections, and land records. Maps, business records, Virginia history
and culture, genealogy and biography, military history, and newspaper
indexes round out the collections.
Rating: An incredible resource for primary documentation and genealogy research.
